With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nancy McLamb, who peacefully departed this world on August 14, 2026, at the age of 84.
Nancy was born on January 16, 1942, in Hammond, Indiana, and her journey took her to a life well-lived, marked by love, resilience, and dedication. Nancy's vibrant spirit was evident from her early days as a young mother, where she worked diligently as a waitress to support her growing family. Her career path eventually led her to Davis Hospital, where she dedicated over 30 years in the dietary department. Her colleagues there were not just her coworkers but an extension of her family, sharing in her laughter and warmth.
A woman of simple joys, Nancy cherished time spent reading, working, and playing with her beloved grandchildren. Her home was a sanctuary of love, filled with the echoes of children's laughter and the gentle murmur of shared stories.
Nancy's faith was an anchor throughout her life. She loved the Lord and carried that love into her everyday actions, consistently seeking opportunities to help others. Her kindness and generosity were a beacon of light to all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Ziebarth and Eddie McLamb,as well as her sons, Ron Ziebarth , Jr. and Dan Ziebarth, son-in-law, Doug Ewalt , beloved great granddaughter, freyja and Nancy's siblings.
Nancy’s legacy is continued through her surviving family her devoted daughters, Carla Ewalt, Valerie Thompson (Tim) and Vanessa Reed (Cory); grandchildren, Amber (Jef), Josh (Rebecca), Aaron (Annie), , Nicole (Chad), Dana ( Stephen), Angie (Todd), Ronnie ( Shalee), Meghann, Daniel, Kyle, Vanessa (Jamie), Zack (Angel), Tylor, Steven (Amanda), Ashley (Michael), Autum, Jayce, Scarlette held a special place in her heart, as did her great-grandchildren, Letta, Kayden , Lucy, Harrison, Skylar, Elskan, Volund, Oakley, Silas, Alistair, London, Cru, Aiden, Maddie, Chase, Layne, Aurora and Malachi.
She is also lovingly remembered by her special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Charm and Jim Thompson, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating Nancy's life will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, at 1:00 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home in Statesville, North Carolina. We gather to remember a life well-lived and a woman deeply loved.
Nancy's love for her family, her steadfast faith, and her unwavering commitment to helping others serve as an enduring inspiration to us all. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
