Orie A. Helmuth

Orie A. Helmuth, age 84, of Statesville, passed away on Sunday morning December 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Leaves to mourn his departure, wife, Fannie (Herschberger) Helmuth; children, Allan – Nettie Troyer  (Bloomfield IA), Vernon – Miriam Beachy (Fulton, SD), Ruth – Richard Mast (Bloomfield IA), Kenneth – Steffy Alohalani (Springdale, WA), Linda – William Yoder (Bloomfield, IA), Naomi – Ernest Yoder (Bloomfield, IA), Esther – Kenneth Schlabach (Ava, IL), Ervin – Dorcas Lambright  (Statesville, NC), Dorothy – Merle Schlabach (Ava, IL), Daniel – Katie Ann Miller (Cleveland, NC), Paul – Ruth Ann Stutzman (Arcola, IL), David (Rushville, IL), Mary (Statesville, NC), 101 Grandchildren; 1 Step Grandchild; 182 Great-Grandchildren; one Brother - Levi (Eunice) Helmuth; and two Sisters -  Viola (John) Jess & Emma (Roy) Corona.

Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; and one brother; two daughters-in-law; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the Restoration Church in Cleveland, NC.  The family will also receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Otto Center in Arthur, IL.  

Services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am with burial held at Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL.  Nicholson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
