Pamela Vivienne Duffus, lovingly known as “Pam” or “Saulas,” didn’t just walk through life, she made sure life felt her. Surrounded by love, she passed on leaving behind a legacy of strength, laughter, and a presence that simply cannot be replaced.
Pam was bold, fearless, and completely unapologetic. She said what she said and if you didn’t like it, that was your business. She stood tall in who she was, carried herself with undeniable strength, and had a laugh so loud and infectious it could take over an entire room. You didn’t wonder if Pam was there, you knew. And somehow, everything felt a little more alive because of it.
At the center of her world was her family—her heart, her pride, her everything. She was the beloved wife of Richard Duffus, who loved her deeply and stood firmly by her side through it all. She was a devoted mother to Shawn Watson, Carone Burnet, and the late Micheal Pearce, whom she now joins again, no doubt already catching up and running things her way.
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Odane, Nick, Tarrick, Kyle, Micheal Jr, and Akeem. Her babies, her joy, her legacy. Each of them carries a piece of her fire, her love, and her strength.
Pam shared deep and unbreakable bonds with her sisters Sonia, Victoria, and Christiana, her brothers Pat and John, her nieces, nephews, and extended family. She loved hard, laughed loud, and had her own unforgettable way of showing it, especially with the unforgettable nicknames she gave to the men in the family… names they’ll never forget.
Pam was strong, sassy, outspoken, and real in every sense of the word. She didn’t sugarcoat life, and she didn’t dim her light for anyone. She brought truth, humor, attitude, and love everywhere she went and if you knew her, you were better for it.
Her absence is loud. Her presence was louder.
If love could have saved her, she would still be here today!
She was the best mum—FULL STOP—and she will be missed more than words could ever hold.
“Don’t worry about me—I’ve said my piece, lived my life, and I did it my way.”
