Paul Edward Reid, Sr.

Paul Edward Reid, Sr, 81, passed away on Monday ,May 11, 2026.

Paul was born in Iredell County , North Carolina on May 14, 1944 to the late William Paul Reid and Lorene Miller.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and was stationed in Korea. He carried the values of service, dedication, and patriotism throughout his life, earning the respect and admiration of those around him.

A faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church, Paul lived his life grounded in faith and kindness. He was also an active member of the West Iredell Ruritan Club, where he enjoyed serving his community and building lasting friendships.

Paul worked for Uniglass in Statesville, North Carolina for 10 years before beginning a long career with General Electric, where he faithfully worked for 25 years until his retirement. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet strength.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Nelda Reid and son, Paul Edward Reid Jr, 

The family will hold a private service at a later date .
