Phillip Wayne Nixon

Mr. Phillip Wayne Nixon, 55. of Troutman, died Wednesday at his home. Born in Iredell County on September 14, 1961, he was a son of the late William Wayne Nixon and Doris Miller. He was a long haul truck driver, a field supervisor for the N.C.D.O.T., and worked for Bullington Construction. He attended Iredell County Schools. Survivors include a son, William Buford Nixon, three sisters: Gail N. Jones (Billy), Debbie N. Bass (Kenny) and Joan N. McCord along with a nephew, Andrew Jones and a niece, Anna McCord. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Caldwell and Rev. Lawrence Ownby officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Troutman.
