Pressley Lee Anderson

Pressley Lee Anderson passed away on Tuesday June 10, 2026, at the age of 86, stepping into the arms of Jesus.

Born in Wilkes County to the late Lidy and Cynthia (Call) in 1939.

He was the youngest of the 12 siblings and the Family moved to Statesville when he was a young where he would spend his working career and retire from Gordon’s Iron and Metal after 40 years of service. He married Bessie “Lambert” in 2002 and resided in Harmony.

Survived by 4 children and 1 deceased, 4 stepchildren, many grandkids and great grandkids, and their shared beloved dog “Maddie”.

He was always a doer and loved to be on the go. Loved his Fords and when he was younger would race them on local short tracks. He enjoyed the mountains and spent time in the Smokies, taking every opportunity to drive up to Wilkesboro for apples, berries, and other local treats. He would garden and often talk to anyone who would listen about his watermelon patch or all the tomatoes he was yielding. Helping others and sharing what he had with anyone brought him joy, especially passing out snacks and ice cream weekly to the little ones near his home. He enjoyed his church family, Grace Bible, and could be found from time to time getting up to sing his original “How far is Heaven...”

Funeral service will be held at 1PM, Monday, June 15, 2026, at Nicholson Funeral Home. Graveside will follow at Iredell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
