Randy Lee Wynn, born on March 8, 1970, in Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, in Harmony, NC, at the age of 56.

Randy's life was a testament to resilience and joy. He spent much of his career as a dedicated Crew Member at McDonald's, where his friendly demeanor and work ethic left a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers alike. Beyond his professional life, Randy was an enthusiastic participant in the Special Olympics, where he bowled competitively, showcasing his love for the sport and his competitive spirit.

According to Randy’s teammates at Special Olympics, “Randy was so much more than an athlete—he was a teammate, a friend, an encourager, and an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He faced life's greatest challenges with remarkable courage, unwavering determination, and a smile that reminded us all to keep moving forward.”

He was preceded in death by his beloved adoptive parents, Roy Wynn, Sr., and Rachel Holly Wynn, who raised him with love and care; brothers, George Wynn and Roy Wynn; sisters, Dezzie Reddick, Viola Lewis and Mary Feimster; niece Teia Thigpen Lester; nephew, Glen Wynn; and sister-in-law, Betty Sue Wynn.

Randy is survived by his biological mother, Mary Ann Jones; girlfriend, Patricia Reid; brothers, James Wynn and Edward Wynn; and sisters, Theresa Duncan and Ruby Brown; brother, Jarquilla Jones; special niece Vickie Turner (Anthony); great niece, Victoria Turner, whom he lived with; and brother-in-law, Jimmie Reddick. During his later years, he was lovingly cared for by caregivers Crystal Gadberry, Derrick Stevenson, Gary Turner, and Tracy Summers, who became cherished friends. Randy also leaves behind many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember his gentle soul and warm smile.

A celebration of Randy's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. Afterward, Randy's family will receive guests at The Statesville Recreation Center,1875 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625 Family and friends are invited to join in honoring his memory and sharing in the stories that made Randy a treasured part of their lives.

Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of kindness and perseverance will remain in the hearts of those he touched.
