Robert John Mcnicholas

Mr. Robert John McNicholas, 67, of Statesville, N.C., died Monday, October 12,2015 at his home. Born in New Castle, Pa. on July 8, 1948, he was a son of the late Ernest J. McNicholas and Edna Kauffman McNicholas. He was a graduate of New Castle High School and he retired from the U. S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan McNicholas and a daughter, Megan Kidd. Survivors include his wife, Jean Dover McNicholas, a son, Robert McNicholas, II. (Holly), a step son, Jeffrey Goughler (Darlene) and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, Jodi McNicholas and a son-in-law, Ronnie Kidd. Mr. McNicholas' cremated remains will be scattered at his favorite beaches. A family gathering will take place at a later date.
