Sara Marie Savia Smith

Sara Marie Savia Smith, age 82, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist, Lexington Medical Center. Born on May 30, 1940, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice Savia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Smith; and her sister, Joanne Moore. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Karen Dorsett and husband, Brian; sons, Jack Hames and John Hames; five grandchildren, Brandi, Ashlee, Catherine, Christy and Kimberly; four great-grandchildren, Madison, Cameron, Dani, and Rylee; and her brother, John Savia.

At the request of her family, no services will be held. Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel has the honor of serving the family.
