Scottie Wayne Bullin, of Statesville, a cherished son, devoted partner, loving father, and dear friend, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 26, 2025, following a brief illness. Born on February 2, 1964, in Iredell County, North Carolina, Scottie was a man who touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy of love and fond memories.
Scottie attended Iredell County Schools, where he laid the foundation for a hardworking career in furniture manufacturing, specifically as a back builder. His dedication to his craft exemplified his strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Scottie was of the Baptist faith, drawing strength and solace from his beliefs throughout his life. He found joy in simple pleasures, with fishing being his favorite hobby. The great outdoors was his sanctuary, where he cherished moments of tranquility and reflection. In addition to his love for nature, Scottie was a devoted family man who passionately engaged in games and activities with his children, creating lasting memories that they will carry with them.
Scottie leaves behind his beloved mother, Dorothy West, and the love of his life, Janice Huffman, with whom he shared an extraordinary 42 years. He was a proud father to his two sons, Nick Bullin and Jacob Bullin, and a caring stepfather to two stepchildren, Christina Murdock (Richard) and Scotty Huffman (Taylor) and was a wonderful uncle/grandpa to his great-nephew, Kameron Dagenhart. He is also survived by three brothers: Clayton Bullin (Treena), Nelson Bullin, and Emery Hamm (Tammie), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends who admired and respected him.
Scottie was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Wesley Bullin. His spirit and memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, reminding us all of the importance of love, family, and the beauty of life’s simple joys.
