Shawn Christopher Baugher

Mr. Shawn Christopher Baugher, 45, of Statesville, died December 14, 2017. Born in Richland, Washington on June 2, 1972, he was a son of Ronald Keith Baugher and Diana Lyn Kreutz Thorne, both of whom survive. Shawn was a senior site operator with the Iredell County Solid Waste Department. He was an avid skate boarder, an avid fan of the Seattle Seahawks, watching the X Games and riding dirt bikes with his son who was the love of his life. Also surviving are his wife, Carie Bishop Baugher, a son, Caleb Christopher Baugher, two brothers: Ronald Allen Baugher and Brooks Robert Derting, a sister Cheryl Lynn Hexum, along with step mothers: Linda McCoy and Carolyn Sue Baugher and step fathers: Larry Derting (Theresa) and Dean Frederick Thorne. Also surviving are step brothers: James and Jess McCoy and step sisters: Jenette Rahling, Joy Hargan and Tatiana Michelle Derting. Services celebrating Shawn's life will be announced at a later date.
