Steven Allen Sharpe, of Statesville, NC lived the last nine years of his life at Rosewood Assisted Living in Harmony, NC. The staff there truly loved him and took good care of him. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Allen was born on April 13, 1956, the son of the late Howard Stephen Sharpe and Barbara Gentry Sharpe.

Allen attended Mulberry School in Iredell County, NC. He lived his whole life in Iredell County making many friends along the way. There was never a stranger to Allen as he welcomed and loved everyone the same. He loved to do yardwork and plant flowers for as long as he was able. he loved to travel with his parents. He also loved listening to the radio and going fishing.

Those eft to cherish his memory are his sister, Debbie Sharpe Lambert (Roger Lambert), two nieces, Jennifer McCrary of Statesville, NC and Stephanie Cartner (Jeff) of Kissimmee, FL; three great-nieces and one great-nephew. He was a wonderful and loving person to all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 1:30 pm in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Iredell memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends and family from 12:30 to 1:30 prior to the service.

Special thanks to the staff of Gordon Hospice House who took very good care of him. Thank you also to his family at Rosewood who loved him and cared for him like he was their own.
