Tonie Karen McDaniels

Tonie Karen Lambert McDaniels, 70 of Statesville, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Gordon Hospice House following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Iredell County on April 1, 1954, to the late Marvin Lambert and Mary Jeannette Barnette Lambert. She was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Eugene McDaniels, a brother, Kimothy Lambert, and a sister, Sharon Stamey.

Tonie was a hard worker, a very strong person and a fighter, battling health problems for several years. She was a loving mom, grandmother, and mother-in-law. Tonie loved to play Bingo and was very lucky when she played. She also loved dancing, music, and her church, Northview Baptist. Tonie had a big heart and was loved by all who met her.

Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Richard McDaniels (Jody), two grandsons, Scott McDaniels and Corbin McDaniels, and a brother, Keith Lambert. She was also YaYa to Kiersten and Payton Worley.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, at Oakwood Cemetery at 11:00 am with Pastor Allen Fredell officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening, October 17, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home.
