Wanda Dickens Phelps, 86, formerly of Statesville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 22 at Roxboro Nursing Center in Roxboro, NC. Mrs. Phelps was born on December 31, 1924 in High Point, NC, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida Davis Dickens. She was a graduate of Troutman High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. On May 2, 1947, she was married to Charles E. Phelps, who preceded her in death in 1984.
