Willie Bell Chambers, 87, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Willie was born in Iredell County, North Carolina on November 4, 1938 to Perman Brown and Esther Anne Allison Brown.

Willie was a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished family member. Family was very important to her, she treasured the time she spent with the people she loved. Willie was known for her kind and giving heart. She was the type of person who would “give you the shirt off her back.” She was always willing to help others and never hesitated to offer love, comfort, or a helping hand.

Willie worked as a caregiver in healthcare, where her caring nature and compassion touched the lives of many. She was a great cook and was known for making delicious meals for her family. In her free time, she enjoyed doing crafts, collecting dolls, knitting, and crocheting.

Above all, Willie will be remembered for her love, kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family. She leaves behind beautiful memories that will be treasured forever. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Willie is preceded in death by her parents, Perman Brown and Esther Anne Allison Brown, sister, Carolyn Brown, brothers, Alonzo White, Floyd Allison and Willie Allison, granddaughter, Allison Chambers, brother-in-law Thomas Murdock and sister in law Martha Allison.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Daniel Chambers (Cathy), one daughter Fort Valencia Brown, one sister Tillie Jane Murdock, four grandchildren Perman Brown, Daniel (Michelle) Brown, Brantley (Autumn) Chambers and Daniel Brown Chambers Jr.; sister in law, Mildred Allison;  a host of grandchildren great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30PM Monday, September 21, 2026 at Nicholson Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Sharpe officiating. Committal will follow at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery .The family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service.
