Iris Rebecca Funderburk, 69, of Statesville, NC, passed away on April 15th, 2022. She was born on April 4th, 1953, in Dillon, SC, daughter of the late Charlie and Norma Funderburk. Iris lived a life filled with the love of God. She enjoyed reading, crafting, and Bible study. She had a love for all God’s creations, especially the ocean. She is loved by many and affectionately known as “Momma Iris.” Iris is survived by daughter, Amber Harris of Denver, NC and her children, Devon and Dominic; daughter, Sarah Woods (Charlie) of Navarre, FL and their children, Charles, Lindsey and Abigail; son, Rodney Howard of Statesville, NC; sister, Ivy Morgan (David) and their daughter, Holly; and brother, Chip Funderburk. Iris’ family will hold a Memorial Service to celebrate her life in the coming weeks. Although flowers are appreciated, the family requests no flowers to be sent.
